Create Connections with Z-Side Service Tokens
A Z-side service token can be used to create a virtual connection to a service provider or another Equinix Fabric customer. In order to create the connection, you must have a valid service token shared with you by a reseller, carrier, service provider, or other Equinix Fabric customer.
Connection to a Service Provider with a Z-Side Service Token
Prerequisites
Before creating a connection to a service provider using a Z-side service token, you must have:

An Equinix Fabric account, with the following IAM roles assigned: Fabric Connections Manager.

A Z-side service token.
-
A Fabric port, an A-side service token, or a Network Edge virtual device.
Create a Connection Using a Z-side Service Token
To create a connection using a Z-Side service token:

Log in to Equinix Fabric.

From the Connections menu, select Create a Connection.

On the Connect using Service Token card, click Enter Service Token.

In the Enter Z-Side Service Token drawer, enter the service token provided to you. The token will be automatically validated.

Once the service token has been validated, click Redeem Service Token.

Review your service token details and click Next.

In the Configure your Connection section, select an Origin Asset Type in the drop-down.
Port

If you selected Port in the drop-down, click Select Primary Port.

In the Select Primary Port drawer, choose a port and click Select Port.

Enter a connection name and the VLAN ID / VLAN Tag, select a connection bandwidth, and click Next.
Service Token

If you selected service token in the drop-down, click Enter Primary Service Token.

In the Enter Primary Service Token drawer, enter your service token and click Redeem Service Token.

Enter a connection name, select a connection bandwidth, and click Next.

If you selected cloud router in the drop-down, click Select Clout Router.

In the Cloud Router Selector drawer, choose a Cloud Router and click Select Cloud Router.

Enter a connection name, select a connection bandwidth, and click Next.

Enter the email addresses for anyone who should receive notifications about the connection's status.

Enter the purchase order number.

Enter the customer reference identifier, that will help you identify this order on your invoice.

Review the connection details and click Create Connection.

Create Redundant Connections with Z-Side Tokens for Redundant A-Side Network Edge Devices
You can create a pair of connections from your redundant virtual devices with two separate Z-side service tokens.
Prerequisites
Before creating a connection from redundant Network Edge virtual devices to destination defined with Z-side service token, you must have:

An Equinix Fabric account, with the following IAM roles assigned: Fabric Connections Manager.

Two Z-side service tokens, granting access to ports in both redundancy planes (primary and secondary).
-
Redundant Network Edge virtual devices.
Create a Connection Using a Z-side Service Token
To create redundant connections to virtual devices:

Log in to Equinix Fabric.

From the Connections menu, select Create a Connection.

On the Connect using Service Token card, click Enter Service Token.

In the Enter Z-Side Service Token drawer, enter the service token provided to you. The token will be automatically validated.

Once the service token has been validated, click Redeem Service Token.
